Moving Forward is launching our highly anticipated Scholarship Program! We are dedicated to uplifting and empowering the next generation, and this initiative is all about opening doors for passionate, driven individuals. Through this program, we’re investing in the dreams of our community’s youth—giving them the support they need to thrive and reach their full potential.
Moving Forward believes
the youth of our community have the power to make Richmond a better place through projects that promote health, academics, and community service.
Moving Forward is offering scholarships to students who currently reside in Richmond, San Pablo or El Sobrante and attend a high school in Richmond, CA. These students must show a record of volunteerism and be on the path to higher education. Those who fit the following criteria may be eligible to receive a scholarship.

Moving Forward Scholarship is NOW LIVE!
This initiative aims to empower and support aspiring individuals who demonstrate outstanding potential, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for making a positive impact on their communities.
Available Scholarships:
We are awarding several scholarships starting from $500 up to $5,000 to be used for tuition and related expenses only.
Scholarship Requirements
Applicants must live in Richmond, San Pablo or El Sobrante.
Applicants must attend a high school in Richmond, CA.
Applicants must have a cumulative minimum GPA of 2.5 or above (weighted). Please submit your high school transcript. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for consideration, but we'll need an official transcript before receiving funds if accepted.
Applicants must have been accepted to 1.) junior college 2.) 4-year university 3.) trade or vocational school. Please submit your proof of acceptance and/or class schedule.
Applicants must include at least one letter of recommendation preferably academic, however personal letters of recommendation are also accepted.
Applicants must take part in at least two community events in Richmond or the Bay Area. Proof of participation is required, such as photos or a contact person from the organization. *Please check organization website, Facebook, or Instagram for the most up-to-date information on community events.
